Star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian has once again caused the internet to be divided. The Skims founder looks as though she got confused this Christmas when she used thick velour fabric to wrap her presents instead of wrapping paper.
Since Keeping Up with the Kardashians aired in 2007, Kim was shot into stardom and has been entertaining the reality TV audiences ever since. The beauty mogul married rapper Kanye West in 2014. The two currently have four children - North, 6, Saint, 4, followed by daughter Chicago, 23-months, and seven-month-old Psalm. Kim has branched out in her many business ventures. The fashion icon launched her shapewear collection, Skims, what she thinks will be her billion-dollar business idea.
Kim has both intrigued and confused her followers when she posted a picture of her wrapped Christmas presents. The presents looked as though they were wrapped with left-over fabric from her velour pieces from her Skims collection. In her Instagram Stories, Kim showed off her unique and eco-friendly way to wrap presents. Kim showed off a pile of Christmas presents, wrapped in a thick fabric that is tied in identical bows. The matching presents look somehow both adorable and frustrating. She said on her video, “West Holiday wrapping this year! Each year every family member pics a color and vibe so we know who the gifts are from. This year we chose creamy velvet!” Check out Kim’s wrapping job below:
Her followers are definitely divided on whether they think the fabric wrapping was a good idea or not. One fan tweeted, “Who told Kim Kardashian that it was cute to wrap gifts in bed sheets… she really tried it.“Another wrote, “This [is] worse than wrapping your textbook in a paper bag when you ran out of book covers.” Meanwhile, some of Kim’s followers seemed to appreciate the eco-friendly alternative to wrapping presents in paper. One fan commented, “Great reusable gift wrapping…no trees hurt! Good going usable year after year after year…..Never out of style! Love it.” It seems that all fans can agree that the velvet swaddled presents are definitely a look.
While the presents lack the holiday cheer of the traditional colors of the holidays, these presents fit right into the West family’s decor for Christmas as well as their gray and cream Christmas Card. It matches the winter wonderland inspired theme that fills her and Kanye’s house, not to mention, the creamy presents also go perfectly with Kanye’s Yeezy line and Kim’s Skims collection. Leave it to this Keeping Up with the Kardashians star to start a brand new trend in wrapping presents.
